Julie founded Accentuate PR in 2001, initially focusing on spurring growth for start-ups and small public companies in healthcare, hospitality, entertainment, and technology. She entered the cannabis & hemp space in 2014, helping MariMed transition from a medical cannabis advisory firm into a major multi-state operator. She also directed PR for the roll-up and launch of Verano to establish their reputation as one of the world’s top MSOs and attract an industry record breaking acquisition offer.

Previously, Julie led high-tech business development and client account teams for Chicago and Detroit PR agencies, repping organizations that achieved their goals of growth, acquisition, or becoming publicly traded, including Galileo International and Trust International being acquired, NJ/NY orthopedic surgery practice expansion, SRO Motorsports/Monster Jam, Supercross, Drum Corps International and musical events management organizations. Her strategies have garnered feature stories in the top media outlets in every major U.S. markets to drive record event attendance, thought leadership, behavior change, goodwill, corporate growth, partnerships, and investor confidence.
